see the thing is I can creat a song in a few hours. If I were to charge I would charge my gigging rate of $25 an hour. But I feel funny charging $100 for a song.

So as of right now, I have been giving them away with a promise of cookies once in a while. What I am actually looking for is free publicity. If I compose a song for you cats, and you perform it, and you tell the world that ahmed from austin composted for you personally. Then they will flock to me and I will then start to charge.

I guess one of my dreams is to get a call from Atash Maya, Desert Sin, Urban Gypsy, UNMATA and they comissiona song from me. Then they will tour and perform to it. Hence, once my CD is out, people will buy it.

So as of now, I do not charge unless it is a difficult piece and if I do charge at this point, it would be on a job by job basis.

If a figure needs to be given, then I would say that I will do a song for no less than $25 and no more than $100.

Also, I am using my own sounds that I create, my own drums that I record, and my own guitar parts that I compose. I will use some samples that I purchase the right to use. For example, my last purchase of loop samples cost me $100. It has about a hundred Middle Eastern drum loops that are traditional.
