I am wondering about this for ages and didn't know where to ask, but I think Ahmed might know :-)
I wondered if there are any computer programs that can do the following things with music:
if you have a song but you don't like a certain instrument in it, is it possible to remove the sound of that particular instrument from that song so that you don't hear it anymore in the song? And would it be possible to add other rithms or melodies as well?
Maybe a very dumb question, but I don't know anything about these things ;-)

Re: Question about music editing
Tue, August 16, 2005 - 9:16 AMit is easy to add other rythms and/or melodies. Or it can be easy. Tempo and beat play a big role in it. I have been trying to do a song for Corrie and it has given me a hard time, but then again, I did a great re-mix for mavi and it worked on her song. It does depend.
It is harder to take out an instrument, beat or melody. Unless I have the original tracks seperated. Some hardware can take out vocals, but those are expensive.
What do you have in mide Amulya? -

Re: Question about music editing
Wed, August 17, 2005 - 11:44 PMI don't even know ;-D
Sometimes I don't like the vocals in some songs and I would like them without. Or I like vocals in a song but matched with another.
By the way I think I have the problem of copyrights and misic mixing solved, but I am still checking it out. I'll let you know when i am sure :-) -

Re: Question about music editing
Thu, August 18, 2005 - 5:50 AMwell we can do the vocal kind of swap only if there is a place in the song where the vocals are by themselves. Usually the beginning of a song. Taking vocals out of a song takes hardware that has to be purchased.
Let me do a little research and I will post my findings.

Re: Question about music editing
Fri, December 9, 2005 - 7:37 AMActually no. I tend to avoid this issue and just work with instrumental versions.
